printable invitations

and more with your own pictures. The templates will let you print any paper size you define, so you can make 5×7 invitations or printable 4×6 greeting cards. Easily said, but sometimes there are problems.

Setting your printer to 5×7 or 4×6:

When you hit print, you should get a print window that pops up. From there you’ll need to go into properties first and choose your paper size and maybe even your paper source if it’s being loaded from another tray. Once you’ve done that you can hit the print button. The makers should format to the new default paper size you have selected.

All of the templates have set dimensions, but they are not 8.5×11. (They are actually larger than 8×11.) The makers print to whatever the default paper size is unless you change the settings. If you are having troubles and the templates continue to print 8×11, I assume the changes you are making are getting over ridden by something else.

Here are some other ways to set your paper size:

If you don’t get a print window that pops up, you may need to adjust your page settings in your Internet Browser. If you go into file, and then “page settings” or “print set-up” , you may be able to change the settings to a 4×6 option, 5×7 option, or maybe fit to page option. Make sure you have your 4×6 paper loaded into your printer and hit print. I would load a test sheet until everything works.

The last resort option is going into your printer options in the main computer “control panel”, and changing the default settings to 5×7. At the bottom left of your computer you’ll have a start menu. If you click on that you should see an option for “control panel”. After selecting that, you’ll see a few icons and you need to find “printer and fax” or just “printer”. Click on that and you should get a list of installed printers. Find the listing for the printer you’d like to use. Right click on that printer icon and select “properties” from the tool menu that appears.

From here, you’ll need to find an option for “settings” or “properties”. you should be able to change the paper default setting to 5×7 or 4×6. Save those changes and then try a test print of your invitation or card. ** If you do this you’ll need to go back in afterward and change the default back to Letter or the paper size use generally use.

There are so many variables with different computers, operating systems, web browsers and printers. Print With My Pic doesn’t guarantee you’ll be able to print 5×7 or 4×6, but the templates are set up that way. I hope you are able to print the perfect invitation or card. However, let me know if you are still having problems. There is a contact button at the bottom of every page.

Easter is a great occasion to print your own cards. You probably only need a few, but even if you are printing a hundred Easter Egg Hunt invitations, many of the online templates make it fast and affordable. You can make Easter cards for kids with your personalized Easter message. Some of the card templates have sample Easter card wording you can use or work off of as well. Check out these sites for some great printable Easter cards.

Easter cards for kids from MES Cards

There are some cute Easter illustrations both religious and Easter Bunny themed with these cards. MES Cards also has a second and third page of cards. The second page has Easter Bunny cards, Easter Egg cards, and Easter Basket cards with blank fronts. These are great for making general Easter cards or even using them to make invitations for an Easter Egg Hunt or Easter dinner party for example. The third page has Easter cards with photo covers. These are a little more formal for adult or teen Easter cards. Take a look at the previews of these below:

Printable Easter cards to make with your own photos from Print With My Pic

These are great single page photo Easter cards you can print online. You can add a picture of a church group, Sunday School class photo, your family, the Easter basket kids made, the Easter eggs made with kids, or just pictures of the kids in their Easter best. You can personalize all of the text to make these into invitations to Easter events or just make an Easter card for Mom or an Easter card for Dad. Also, since the card makers print full to the page. just change your paper size and print 5×7 Easter cards, 4×6 Easter cards or just print onto index cards.

Design your own Easter cards to print from Print With My Pic

There are some fully customizable card templates on the site. Above are just some examples, but you can add your own Easter pictures and Easter sayings to these templates to make just about any Easter card to send or give to friends, family and church members.

How to personalize and print your own Easter cards with these sites

Both of these sites use a similar online Easter card template format. When you choose a style, the maker will open in a new window. With the Print With My Pic templates, you can upload your own photo right from your computer or use the URL to a picture you have online. From there, you can edit any of the sample Easter card sayings to make the perfect Easter greeting card. You can move the text around on the page and some templates allow you to change the font.

To print the card, there is a large print icon at the top of the template on the left-hand side. Once you’ve made all of you changes, you can click on the print button and make as many copies as you need. The card templates should maintain all of your data, so if you’d like to personalize each card with different names, that’s very simple to do.

The Easter card templates from MES cards also allow you to make half fold Easter cards with any of the cards. You can then print the cards, write in your own messages and add any Easter card crafts, like pop-up Easter eggs to make pop-up Easter cards. Adding these small details really makes your card special and fun for the recipient. (There are also matching envelopes for the quarter-fold cards and half-fold cards.)

Printing Easter cards online is a great choice these days to both make great looking Easter cards for children, and to save a little money (not to mention saving time on a trip to the card shop.) These sites have some great templates, ideas for Easter cards, and more templates and options if you are looking for other styles. These make great cards to add to Easter baskets, cards for Easter bouquets, and you can even use them as place cards for Easter dinner. See what you can do with the templates and let me know if you have other ideas, questions or suggestions on Easter card crafts.

Happy Easter!

If you are looking for printable princess birthday party supplies, check out these new princess theme card templates from MES cards. You can print a princess birthday card, make a princess birthday party invitation or use them as princess dress-up party cards for any princess theme party. The card makers from MES Cards let you choose from 1/2 fold or 1/4 fold cards, edit all of the text, adjust the layouts, change the fonts and pretty much make any card you might need.

With the quarter-fold cards, you can add your own personalized message inside the card. With the half fold cards, you’ll need to print out the cards and hand write in your own wording. Either card maker will allow you to add text to the cover of the card as well. Add cute princess wording to your card or make a card using the sample birthday card wording as a guide. You can also print envelopes to match the cards, add names, addresses, or information to the envelopes, or just print blank envelopes. These are a great princess theme craft you can add to princess birthday parties and all of the templates are free and available for online use.

At Print With My Pic you can also make birthday cards, party invitations, calendars, and printable picture frames with your own pictures. Just upload a picture of your princess into the templates, edit and print.

How to use the princess birthday card makers:

When you click on one of the templates, a new window will open. You’ll see your card selection to the right and you’ll also see the sample princess birthday card wording. You can personalize all of the text inside the card, use your own wording, or delete everything and print blank princess cards. By editing the card wording you can make birthday cards, thank you cards or printable party invites. You can also make changes to the card text directly on the card. So, when you are ready, hit the “OK” button and you’ll see your princess card with personalized message. (You can always go back to the card menu by clicking on the menu option at the top of the card maker.)

Designing your own princess card:

Each card has 7 different font options. At the top of the template, you will find an option that says change font. If you click on that, you’ll be able to scroll through the different fonts. There are formal fonts, cute fonts, cool fonts and a standard text font. For princess cards, I suggest one of the cute fonts, but that’s up to you.

When you scroll over the top of any text field, you’ll get a text control bar that appears. This has options like “move me”, zoom in, zoom out buttons, and buttons that let you rotate your text to the left or right. To move the text to a different location or just move it up or down slightly, click on the “move me” button and drag the text to wherever you’d like. By clicking on the “plus” button you can make the text larger. By clicking on the “minus” button, you can make the text smaller. Taking advantage of these tools, it’s very easy to design your own printable pirate birthday party supplies.

Printing your princess card:

Once you’ve made all of your changes, you are ready to print. There is a “print” button at the top of each template. If you click on that your card should begin the printing process. Usually, you’ll get a print window that opens. You can choose your printer and how many copies you’d like. Print as many cards or invitations as you might need. And that’s it! Your free printable princess birthday card will come floating out of the printer.

Make matching princess envelopes:

Below each card maker there is a link for the envelope maker. The printable princess envelope templates match the cards, but you can print a blank envelope or mix and match designs if you’d like. There are options for personalizing the envelopes with a name and address, return address and even a message on the back of the envelope. You have the same font options and text editing features as the card makers. When you have made your changes, hit the “print” button and you’re done!

It’s very easy to make a great looking princess thank you card to print or free princess theme birthday party supplies. You can make a card with a princess, castle, castle tower, princesses on horses, cute princesses, cool princesses, a strong princess and fairy tale graphics to make princess cards for kids.

If you need any help with the above, or just want to share your own princess birthday party craft ideas, please comment below. I’d be glad to help. There’s also another post on making your own princess party printables and dress-up party supplies. I hope your princess birthday party is a happily ever after success!

It’s very easy to make a great looking pirate thank you card to print or free pirate theme birthday party supplies. You can make a card with a pirate, treasure chest, skull and cross bones, jolly rogers flag, girl pirate, skeletons, cursed pirates, pirate symbols, deserted island images and other great graphics to make pirate cards for boys or pirate cards for girls.

If you need any help with the above, or just want to share your own pirate birthday party ideas, please comment below. I’d be glad to help. There’s also another post on making your own pirate printables.

There are many different layout options and template designs for you to use and make the perfect Class of 2012 graduation announcements. You can make a flat 5×7 graduation announcement or there are 4×6 graduation photo template options as well. You can choose from portrait cards or landscape styles. There are also folding card designs you can edit and personalize as 2012 graduation invitations.

Above are a few previews of some of the graduation template options. There are 8-12 different templates for each style. You can add a picture right to the graduation 2012 templates and edit everything right on the screen. View all changes as you make them to design your own graduation announcements with your photo and personalized text.

How to make your own class of 2012 graduation announcements with your photo:

Each of the templates has a spot for you to a graduation photo, photo of your school, a school mascot photo, or senior 2012 picture. Any image file will work. When you open the template, you’ll see an image upload tool. You have the option of adding a picture right from your computer or you can use the URL to an image you have online. Once the picture is loaded into the graduation photo frame, you can edit the photo with the image editor. Crop your photo, zoom in, zoom out, rotate the image and get it just the way you’d like.

Graduation Announcement Wording - personalize your senior 2012 graduation announcement:

You can edit all of the text in the template, change the fonts and colors with some designs. Just type over any sample graduation announcement text that you see on the cards. Change “Congratulations!” to “Class of 2012″, “Somewhere High 2012″, “2012 Graduation Party”, “We made it!” or even “We’re outta a here!” :D

There are other templates that you can use as well that you can use as unique 2012 graduation announcements. Try the ticket templates or bookmark templates as fun ideas for senior 2012 graduation announcements:

Print your own graduation announcements 2012:

After you’ve made all of your changes and personalized your announcement, you are ready to print. There is a preview button you can use to clear all but the “print” button (and “back” button.) That will let you look at the card without any of the menus and you can see how it will look before you print the card. If you like it, then load your paper into your printer and hit the print button.

The makers will adjust the cards to your paper size. If you want to make a 5×7 announcement, 4×6 announcement or even full page graduation announcement you can. Just be sure to adjust your printer settings. The program can do somethings but I’m still working on it. It will print according to what you have set in the printer settings so, make sure the printer properties are set before you hit that final print button.

(Usually, you’ll get a print pop-up window that lets you choose the printer and also has a button for “printer settings” or maybe “printer properties. That’s where you’ll find the options for selecting your paper size.)

There are more graduation templates and ideas for graduation party invites, thank you cards, and diploma templates in the graduation printables guide. There are also some suggestions for templates from other sites if you don’t want to use your own photos.

There are 8 cool cards for kids templates, now each have a new card maker and ready to print card template formats. You can make cool birthday cards for kids, graduation cards, party invitations and more. The new greeting card maker will let you change the sample birthday card wording and title greeting. Personalize a cool card for friends by adding their name to the cover. Add you name or sign the card after you print it. In addition to the cool character cards the tiger greeting card templates have also been updated with new card makers and ready to print greeting card templates. These will make great birthday cards for boys or cards for anyone who is a big cat lover.

How to make cards for kids:

Choose the card you’ like: The new card makers haven’t been introduced through the entire site yet. However, to make printable cards for kids, first, click on the template preview. That will open the card maker in a new window. Form there you will see options to edit the card title text. This is the main greeting that will appear inside the card. The sample wording is “Happy Birthday!” but that can be changed to anything you’d like.

Edit the card online: Second, below the title text field, there is a place for a personalized message. Again, the card has sample wording for a birthday card, but you can edit all of the text and even delete everything if you’d rather write in your own message after printing.

Third, click the “OK” button. Then, you should see your card right there on the screen. At the top, there are options for changing the font. If you roll over the top of the text on the card, you’ll see a control bar that appears which will allow you to rotate the text, make it bigger or smaller, and drag the text around on the card to get the balance and layout that looks best.

(You can skip the second step all together and just make your changes directly on the card. There is a “skip” button at the top right. If you would like to use the opening menu, you can click on the small menu button at the top of the card. That will open the card menu for you.)

Printing the card: Now you are ready to print. If you like the way the card looks, click the “print” button at the top left of the card. Your card will come shooting out your printer. You can make as many copies as you’d like or go back and make changes to the card to print a similar card for other friends and family.

If you have any questions about the new card makers or have suggestion for new card templates, how to make the cards better or for new features, please comment below. I’d love to hear from you.

I made a haunted house for my Halloween party last year, facade, entrance, accessories, maze, decorations, the whole deal. Making the coolest haunted house in town is pretty easy to be honest. The haunted house below was primarily made with gray fabric, a magic marker, styrofoam, glue, and a little house paint.

Haunted house ideas for decorations – make your own spooky facade

This is a great way to transform a garage into a haunted house or make a room of your house into a haunted house walk through for your Halloween party guests. To make the walls for the outside of the haunted house, I used strips of gray fabric. With a black magic marker, I drew horizontal lines across the fabric, added what would appear to be wood grain and technically you’re done. I did add some broken board type artwork and peering eyes, but that’s up to you.

If you want to read a more detailed explanation on how to make a haunted house facade, check that blog post. You could stop here, but the blog post also goes into how I shaded the fabric with black paint and how to make a simple doorway.

Haunted house idea for exterior decorations – add spooky trees and a cemetery fence

I made the cemetery fence posts and rot iron fence in about 3 hours. The fence posts were made out of foam insulation boards and gray house paint that you can find at most DIY or home improvement stores. The fence was made with black PVC pipes and black wire.

Taking the foam board, you can cut it into strips. I layered the strips to make what looks like stone fence posts. It’s much faster if you don’t have to “carve” or “etch anything. So instead of carving a design into the foam, I carved some pieces to glue on. You can see sample text for a cemetery fence in the final photo above. All of the pieces were glued together with wood glue and then painted with gray water-based house paint.

To make the fence post props, you just need to cut up some PVC pipes for the size that you’d like. My fence had two horizontal crossbars and five vertical fence posts. I placed them on my floor in the design you see in the center picture. Then, using black wire I tied the posts down in their positions. You can adjust the positions after you have secured them.

For a full explanation with more detail on steps and adding haunted house accessories to your scene, check out these two posts: spooky tree Halloween prop, how to make graveyard fence posts and how to make a graveyard fence.

Haunted house ideas – How to make a haunted house maze or walk-through

I spent a long time trying to figure out how to make a simple and kid-safe haunted house maze. I wanted something sturdy, easy to assemble and something that didn’t create a lot of trash in the end. So, you can see why it took me a while.

In the end, the answer was 2×4 pillars and 1×4 braces. It seemed like it would be a ton of work but in the end, it was very quick, simple, sturdy and above all ours ended up “kid-safe”. Well, they all survived to tell the tale, anyway.

We used 1x4s across the top and on the sides for stability. I had one L section and a floating wall that you can see in the diagram above. I connected the two sections with a board across the top and so everything stood strong and supported itself. Different from the design you see above, I added two “doorways” by using another pillar and top crossbar. That increased the overall stability and gives you a place to hang things, like a curtain, spider webs and even just a secure fixture for black lights or Halloween lights.

To make the frame into walls, we used black farming plastic. It’s super cheap, but you can use anything you can find. Use an old plastic Halloween scene setter for example. The inside of your haunt should be dark and most likely no one is going to notice what the walls looked like.

This is just a suggestion and above all, think safety first. Each environment is different and I have no idea how destructive your guests can be. The maze can never be to secure or too sturdy. Please use your best judgment, get advice from friends and you can certain run ideas by me by commenting below.

Another thing to think about is overall height. In the end the cross bars were just over 6′. If you are expect a basketball team, you might want to build it a little taller. In general it’s good to have someone at the entrance reminding you victims, I mean guests, not to run, push, kick, fight, etc. until they are out of the haunted house, preferably not until they are down the street on someone else’s property :D.

That ought to get you off to a good start with making your own haunted house, but if you have any questions about how I made something or just want more information on accessories and haunted house decorations, please leave a comment below. I’ll be happy to explain more about how I made my Halloween props if people are interested.

Happy Halloween!

There are some new, free Valentine’s Day card templates you can use as Valentine cards for kids. These specific designs are flat cards. You can print 4 of the same design per page or choose 4 different designs to make up to 4 different cards for kids to print for friends, their class or for family. There are other options like photo Valentine’s Day cards, folding cards and more, but take a look at some of the 2012 Valentine’s Day card templates for kids:

These are just 5 of the free Valentine’s Day card templates for kids. These are cute Valentine’s Day cards, funny Valentine’s Day cards, Valentine’s Day cards for boys to give to friends, cards for girls, generic Valentine’s Day designs, so kids don’t need to be embarrassed. There is a love potion card, simple “be careful out there” card, and a few standard “Happy Valentine’s Day” card designs for example. Of course, there are a couple “Be Mine” designs ;) as well.

How to make the Valentine’s Day cards for kids:

Once you click on the previews above, it will take you to the full set of previews. This will let you choose from all of the Valentine’s Day card designs. Next to each design, there are 2 links. One says “make up to 4 cards”. This option will allow you to make 4 different cards, with different text message for each card. You can use different card backgrounds or use the same card design with different messages for each. You can add the names of your Valentine or leave it blank and address the cards after printing. The second link states “make 4 of the same card”. This will take you to a Valentine’s Day card maker that will generate 4 of the same cards with the same text. You can personalize all of the text or just use the sample Valentine’s Day card message for each template.

At the bottom of the screen, you need to choose the card design, “card 1″ for example. Then there is a button that says “make it”. Click that and you’ll see you cards on the screen. if you’d like to make any changes, just hit the back button on your browser. That will take you back to the Valentine’s Day card maker screen from before. Edit any text and then hit the “make it” button again. You’ll see the new changes.

How to print your own Valentine’s Day cards:

You print these cards just like you would print a page off of the Internet. Go to the top of your web browser and from the file menu or tools menu, choose “print preview”. You could just select print, but this will let you see everything first. If it all looks good, click print and make as many copies as you need. You can play with the margins if you want to center the cards or you may need to decrease the margins if part of the cards are going to get cut off or the text isn’t appearing.

If you want to try some other options for Valentine cards for kids, take a look at some of these free Valentine’s Day card templates for folding cards, full page cards, portrait, landscape, 5×7 or 4×6 designs. These let you add your own photos to the cards and add a personalized message.

There are quite a few other options for fun designs, like a printable Valentine’s Day magazine cover template, and bookmark templates in the Valentine’s Day printables guide. It also has some suggestions for free St. Valentine’s Day templates from other sites.
