Add the perfect finishing touch to your homemade gift basket ideas with a fantastic free printable card.

How many times have you been in a store and looked at the card selection and thought “If only that card had those words, or that picture went with that card” or wished that card was more suitable for a man and so on and so on. I know I have spent hours agonizing over the right gift card and gone from shop to shop looking for the perfect combination of pictures and verse and still come home empty handed!

It’s especially frustrating when you’ve taken the time to create a unique and original homemade gift basket for your recipient. You’ve chosen a great container, picked out the perfect gifts, assembled your gift basket with absolute precision, made a brilliant job of the wrapping, tied the perfect bow and then you just can’t seem to find the right card. How annoying is that?

That’s why making your own printable cards is such a good option. Not only do you get the opportunity to create a card that looks exactly how you want it to, but you can even write your own verse (or not) and make your own matching envelope!

With such a huge variety of printable cards available, you can find a perfect match for just about any occasion. Choose from cute cards, funny cards, patriotic cards, cards to match your gift basket themes or even add a photo of yourself to your card. Now what could be more personal than that!

Try adding printable cards with photo images from the movies to your movie theme gift baskets for kids and teenagers. You could add a cute gingerbread men card to a homemade Christmas gift basket full of gingerbread people. Or add printable cards with photo images of gorgeous sunsets and tropical islands to a beach theme gift basket.

Choosing the right gift card to go with your gift basket is equally as important as the gift basket itself, it’s a bit like adding the last piece to the puzzle, it just has to be the right fit.

Happy gifting,
