Here is a review of 3 great sites for making a certificate to print.
#1 – with 1,000+ great templates, free certificate template backgrounds you can download and customize, as well as a simple single screen free online certificate maker, 123 Certificates is the top spot by far. On the site there are easy to follow categories, like school certificates, formal certificates, sports certificates, cute certificates for kids, cool certificates to print and more.
What I like about 123 Certificates:
- – the site is free and there’s no application or software to download
- – there are no URLs or site markings on the certificates
- – plenty of designs from certificates for kids to formal styles in each category
- – plenty of holiday designs for Easter, Mother’s Day certificates, any occasion
- – each template style comes with sample wording for the certificates
- – there are some free certificate borders to download and make your own awards
- – it has some fun non-traditional styles like award ribbons to print, bookmarks and printable trophy awards
What I don’t like about 123 Certificates:
– while there are some options for downloadable certificate templates for Word and certificate background artwork you can use to make certificate templates for PowerPoint, the certificate templates can’t be customized with your own photos in the online versions

What I don’t like about these 2 sites for certificates:
